The issuing of all FIA International Drivers’ Licences is governed by the regulations of the International Sporting Code and in particular by Articles 9 (COMPETITORS AND DRIVERS) and 20 (DEFINITIONS) thereof. This chapter of Appendix L specifies the grades, qualification requirements, content and validity of licences for circuit and road competitions, for historic car competitions, for drag racing, for handicapped drivers and for navigators.
